Phonics Read-Alouds

Phonics Read-Alouds are a series of children’s books used to supplement systematic and explicit foundational literacy curricula. These books are used to reinforce phonics patterns after the skills have been explicitly taught. The goal of these books is to increase students’ engagement and interest in practicing phonics skills and for teachers to model fluent, oral reading in addition to incorporating questions that allow students to use their expressive language skills.
